Um....Hello I joined MS a few months back as a translator. Figured that it's probably time for me to say hi to everyone.
Hello!
Um....I've worked on quite a number of projects since I joined. I can pretty much work on anything that Kashi wants me to. I'm Kashi's um.... slave....I mean...um...Loyal Subject. Right. Yes. That's me.
Anyway, just want to say that I really, really enjoy the OUTSTANDING releases that MS does. Feels good to be a part of the team.
A few fun facts about moi...
Fav mangaka - Adachi Mitsuru (he's the first managka I'd ever read)
Fav mangas - Um. Way too many
Fav greeting - Osu!
Pet Peeve - editors that disappear, and US released manga that costs way too much. (It's cheaper for me to order Chinese manga from Taiwan then get them DHL over here than to buy a volume of VIZ).
Um. Anyway.
Thanks for all the releases.

Hi, my name is Emperor_Ketchup (formerly nanashi. Now if that's not a fantastically bland, generic name I don't know what is).
I work here. I translate National Quiz, Helter Skelter, and all that shit none of you read.
I hate each and every one of you. I may act almost sensible or even somewhat nice to you on occasion, but I still hate you. It wouldn't be possible for me to hate you even more if I met you in public since my hatred for you is already at maximum capacity (hating people over the internet is no fun when you can attach a face to a name, and come to the realization that the other guy is just another loser with too much spare time, much like yourself).
I joined MS for some reason I can no longer remember (assuming there was a concrete reason to begin with). The MS staff are for the most part cool, and I don't hate them quite as much. Except for Hyah/Icarium, he's one evil bastard.
Fun facts:
- Been in scanlating since: early 2003 (god how I've wasted my life)
- Scanlating highlight: Level E
- Scanlating lowlight: Pretty Face dickgirl doujin
- Favorite greeting: "You're still alive?"
- Latest piece of porn I'm downloading: Screaming Electrical Torture Convlusion Girls 3 - "What If This Was Your Girlfriend?"
- Last time I used the word "fucK" online: about 10 minutes ago
- Last time I used the word "fuck" in real life: about 10 seconds ago
- The frequency with which I use the word "fuck": way too high
- Time I spend translating manga each week: about 5 hours on average, fluctuating wildly depending on work, mood, etc. (Mostly mood)
- Time I spend actually translating within that time: <2 hours
- Favorite manga I read repeatedly: Sakura Tamakichi's "Mantama" series
Hooray for boredom |

Does anyone actually read these intros? >.> <.<
I feel like I'm talking to myself.
Oh well....at least I'm not downloading porn like Screaming Electrical Torture Convlusion Girls 3 - "What If This Was Your Girlfriend?"
Bwahahaha. That's twisted.... |

I registered for much the same reason as the above poster. Not that i'm exactly new to the whole scanlation sphere of the internet, but I figured I ought to put in my appreciation as well. I enjoy the stuff you guys work on (particularly where you are going as oppose where you started out) as I like to read stuff more off the beaten track and I suck at finding info on such manga on my own. So, thank you. |

Hi ^^
I don't know exactly why I registered... It may be because I'm a real geek, disguising herself with a white Bunny's costume to haunt some forums... (What am i saying? I should stop eating strange things i find in my fridge, above all when I don't know exactly what it is...)
Anyway, MangaScreener's staff does a great job!
I might stop by the irc channel sometimes, but as "Seijun" |

hi
I've actually registered for a while
being manga lover for 1-2 years
I did read manga before that but didn't find many particular favorites,
not after I met YKK, URASAWA Naoki and some other seinen manga etc.
I was amazed as I found there are so many interesting manga works and seemingly almost all are from Japan.
Lastly, Glad to see Ciguatera is adopted. It's one of my top favorites. |
