It seems that a thread about the above is in order, so I have created one. I hereby decree that people should be free to post spoilers in this thread, so if you haven't read it yet, do so before you read further one (it's short and available through direct download, what more do you want?).
So what are everyone's thoughts on the lion x snake action, or about the manga in general? |

The animals are just so CUTE...BUT...ITS...SO...WRONG! I mean look at that fuzzy wuzzy lion and the way the little sister snake sleeps curled up or even what the little monkey bro says as he becomes a turd being eaten. Its just too cute and gross. Couldn't stop laughing.
I know its a fairly common technique to turn people into animals to make a statement about human behavior, but the only other comic I've read that does that is Maus by Art Speigelman and uh, this isn't anything like Maus heh.
Wonder what kinda babies Yoshiko will have...Her soap opera angst was the funniest.
A question about Comic Cue that this appeared in, how often does the anthology come out? |

Comic Cue is released pretty much annually. Vol. 4, which this story came from, was released in 1997. The issue is a collaboration-themed one, so they stories are done by two artists. There's one by Yoshitomo Yoshimoto and Iou Kuroda that we'll probably be doing. Also, Angel's Share from Omanga and Dirty Work from Jinmen Juushin were part of it as well. |

It's perfectly all right. They're animals after all. |

A nice one to read to start the day. Wonder how lions screw snakes in real life. |

I should probably chime in and say I liked it a lot, too.
It'd be interesting to see how much Yoshitoto Yoshimomo (of "Twisted" [il]fame, iirc) works with the Iou-meister. |
