This has been brought up before; it's a movie of the Summer in Andalusa(?) story from Nasu, NOT the entire series.
I don't believe there is an English language version (legal or fansub). If I recall correctly, there was a version in French or Italian but I am not very sure about that. |

Yeah there's a French fansub version, I watched that and ignored the subtitles. I believe neilworms was pressing that group for their script so someone could translate it to English, but I don't think it happened. |

I don't see how any decent fansub group out there (not that I actually watch fansubs, but I'm assuming such things exist) couldn't translate it if they really wanted to. From what I recall of the movie there was nothing particularly challenging in the dialogue compared to, say, Ghost in the Shell. All in all it was very Ghibli. |

I REALLY hope someone fansubs it! I watched it in French, which was fine for me but I'd like to show this to friends/family and English will be needed for that.
Nasu was screening at the Big Apple Anime Festival when it just came out a few years ago, so there is a subtitled theater print out there I am just unsure if it is licensed or available to play anywhere else. Probably not. |

It turns out I now have a script for it. Nasu will be subtitled eventually by my group. |
