Hello people,
I'm the coordinator for the gestalt and shinesman projects, we have scans and translations (which need editing) but have stalled both the projects for one reason or another.
I'm just writing to test the water to see if its worth it to continue these projects or if i should just post the existing translations and cancel the projects outright.
Let me know what you guys think. |

I haven't read Shinesman, but Gestalt seems like a very interesting and promising project (although probably harder to translate than most mangas). It's in a fantasy world setting that's kind of old-school, and it really appealed to me when I first read it. Please continue with Gestalt! |

just my personal opinion, but we have translator, scanner and editor for shinesman, and for gestalt we have some scans, some transltions and noone really willing to edit it - we will probalbly drop it eventually. For shinesman we only need proofreader, and that is much easier to find then good editor...if emeryl is still willing to translate shinesman we should continue it, if not, we should drop both projects. |

I say drop them both -- reassign the editors to other projects that have translations waiting for months with no edits (*cough*Kingofthorns*cough*). |

I know that its by a shounen-ai author, but I'll edit it, if you want.
You can find me in #k-manga as ruinevil. |

Hi, Izumi,
If you are looking for an editor for the Gestalt project - I'm ready to join.
I'll do my best - just don't drop this scanlation. |

I'm not really a forum person in general, but I just popped in to see if I could find out anything about the status of Shinesman. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series and have for years, and I really want it scanlated, or just translated period. I'm also a decent copy editor. (And I have the full run of the series in Japanese and enough halfassed Japanese skill to have at least a little bit of an idea whether my changes would still be accurate if that's ever an issue. Just not anywhere near good enough to actually translate.) If you're still looking for a proofreader for this project, I'd love to help get it going again. |

I'm still very interested in helping out with Shinesman, if anybody else is still doing anything with it. |

Are gestalt still being worked on? I just readed it and I like it very much. If you need an editor for the project then I could volunteer myself to that position. I can also work with other projects along with this one. Here's a photoshop test that I did for another group:

hi, Izumi! i want to ask about gestalt =) is it completely in inactive projects? we are the russian
scan group(http://mir0k.net) and have gestalt in our future projects, but for now all our transliators are busy with dimlomas =(( and have no enough time for several translations at once.. of course, it's ok to wait some months, but may be we can cooperate with that? your translation and our editing.. we can only clear scans or clear and text inputting, as you wish..
if it's still actual of course =))
ps he he.. sorry for my poor english |
