Vinland Saga - Thanks, trivia and a request.

First of all thanks for bringing this to the non jp reading world. I read the first chapter and was instantly hooked.

Being a Norwegian I have a little tidbit about the name Askeladd. You may have heard about it before, but Askeladden is a character recurring in Norwegian fairytales. Usually geting to his goal through wits and tricks(tricking a dangerous troll into killing itself for eksample).
"Askeladd" would be eqivalent with your "a Askeladd," while "Askeladden" would be simmilar to "the Askeladd." I don't know what Yukimura is using, but he is known as the later(Askeladden) in Norwegian fairytales tho. Up to you what you will be using.

If you just read it, it's asheraddo, IIRC.
So as usual with names like that, Askeladd is a bit of an approximation. It's hard to say if that's what he was really aiming for. (But it wasn't Askeladden, anyway.)
