I was wondering if anybody has read Vinland Saga, Makoto Yukimura’s new series, in the latest Shonen Magazine (21) and could tell me if it was any good.

I saw the scans of it and was pretty stoked about it since Yukimura's PLANETES is my favorite manga.

The first 2 chapters are pretty good. We've already got someone translating them Smile You may have noticed Hagar in our future projects section.

read both chapters and I really see huge potential in it
so yeah, Im loving it... even tho there's only 2 scanlated chapters
art is very nice and the action is high-paced
didnt expect something like this from Yukimura tho, and the unlikely viking setting
but it works extremely well tbh

In the future please direct your comments about our scanlations in the "Mangascreener Projects" section thread for VS. But I'm glad you enjoyed it so far!

Nope, the story is still going strong. Volume 5 will be out in late October, and there's no ending in sight.

Hi there Surprised , little question, what's up about that announcement??

Quote:
Third: Vinland Saga has an "important announcement" coming up in the next month or so. In the language of manga magazines, "important announcement" means one of two things: an anime adaptation, or a film adaptation. Since the story is far from complete, and a movie usually requires a bit more closure than an anime series, I think it's pretty much safe to say that Vinland Saga will be animated.

I have the last afternoon and nothing inside about that Crying or Very sad

thanx for Vinland Wink

It's kind of sad how the younger generation doesn't know about the Neverending Story.

Ah, I remember. Was only a few years old when the book came out (had the movie as a kid). Pretty off the wall reference there; however, I think poor Atreyu would get his face melted off against the match up I was posting for humor and fun.
