Found out about this series through Viga the Otagal's podcast.
I checked it out. The artstyle reminds me of Viewtiful Joe.
I like the main character for being a loser but not necessarily just one to elicit sympathy. He's VERY messed up and fails and people treat him like that and you can see how he ended up like he did.
I am very confused about the last three chapters. I am was so darn sure that Compressed-Dog Noah's story was just psyche out. Admittedly reinhart's story had to be too good to be true just it seemed more realistic and properly middle of the road than Noah's (how does such a drop out loser create advanced AIs)
Though I suppose it doesn't matter since this Kanazaki is just a construct Noah made.
The real confusing part is what Akuro, I mean, Takuro is doing. This seems a weird time for a dream sequence, is this happening or not or what?
The good thing is that the series is so short so once the chapters come out it will be over soon enough.
The professional quality of the scanlations is amazing and you have a nice blend between notes and translating so we understand. I wonder if this will end up with Takuro alone but wiser. |

UPDATE!
At long last...
Well that was needlessly confusing as a transition.
Okay I am trusting tsukiko less and less. She reverts Kanzaki and now is being remarkably gullible and even liking Takuro. Its like she's reverted. When this happened before Kanzaki at the least had employed some version of mind control.
Man the undercurrent of sheer awfulness just doesn't let up in this manga. Takuro's gone from sympathetic abuser to kidnapper and brainwasher. When this is all over I seriously wonder if I'll even want him alive. |

Ressentiment keeps getting better and better! I love it so much, each and every character and moment seems so real! I wonder if ive ever read any other manga which fleshed out its world so well and believably. I get so immersed with the Unreal world, it really comes to life like magic!
The story is beautiful!
spoilers - highlight to read
i am sooo infatuated with tsukiko, i was really anxious to see how her romance with takuro would work out. but volume 3 was the best volume ever, i'd be happy even if the entire manga were to end right there as it is!
Thanks, MS & Kotonoha |
