"Digopuri" is apparently the diminutive abbreviation of "jigoku no purinsesu" ("princess from hell"), and the story will be about the trials and tribulations of raising this princess.

from ANN

This keeps getting worse.

Eden's ending in Issue #8 of Afternoon (they're currently at #6).
It'll probably end up at 18-19 vols.

Aha, cool. I knew he was gonna start something new soon, as there was an ad on the Young Magazine site about hiring assistants.

Can't wait to know what it's about. Looks Ciguatera-ish.

Glad to see this won't drag out for too long.

And it's sad to see a talented author like Kio screw around with otaku-pandering bullshit.

Won't drag out? I thought it was already long past that.

Er, I've only read what's come out in English and just heard that it was just starting to get a little stale from others. Of course I'm also more critical of the series than said people, so there ya go.

I actually dropped it after 10 volumes because it kept skipping from storyline to storyline; but the comments I picked up here and there about later volumes didn't leave me hopeful. What made me drop it in particular, was when it skipped from an awesome storyline to a hellishly boring one.
He really should stick to shorter stories. Eden often gave me a feeling of being on too big of a scale for someone as down to earth as Endo.

So... Kio Shimoku's new manga. I checked out the first raw chapters.
So far:
- googley eyes
- titz
- baby vaginas

...

GAME OVER MAN, GAME OVER.

...actually, I'm not that surprised anymore.

He DID do a manga about otaku's after all, it's apparent he has a passion for this stuff; regardless of whether he has the 'talent' or not.

Still, even my occasional love harem loving friends is disappointed by this news. : /

Also, Eden did feel like it was a chore at times to read, but I thought it was only a chore because I was too 'young' at the time I read it. Part of me feels that I should give it a shot again though...

I think it's pretty unanimous that he isn't doing something less grandiose enough lately though.

Finally a preview of the first chapter of Himeano~ru.

Also, Shigeru Mizuki decided at the age of 86 that he hasn't had enough, and is starting a new manga in Big Comic.
Anyone else reminded of a chapter of Super Cruel Tales? Razz

Mushishi ends next month at more than likely 10 volumes.
Chinomi ended at 3 volumes.
Atarashii Asa v1 is on sale.
