DAL net has MOOD SWINGS~ XD

Sometimes it's super-nice other times it's realll rotten. But I like connecting Tiscali and Twisted, and on occasion Matrix. Powertech is not bad, connects fast, but breaks often.

attempt to connect to:

tricky.dal.net
twisted.dal.net
tiscali.dal.net
jade.dal.net

All those servers are reliable ...

Hello, Im getting the same results as the previous people who have posted, but now Im getting messages when connecting such as:

You have been Autokilled.
-
-twisted.ma.us.dal.net- *** You are not welcome on this network.
-
-twisted.ma.us.dal.net- *** Autokilled for [exp/identd] Due to constant abuse from this site, users are now required to install identd on their computers. Send email to exploits@dal.net with [exp/ident] as the subject for more information. [AKILL ID:1016850704K-a] (2002/11/03 23.42)

I have followed, or at least I think, the instructions to fix the problem, but to no avail have I been able to connect. Only a couple of days ago was I still able to connect to the server and channel.
Thanks for everyones time.

goto the ident box on mirc, and click it =P
thats all you have to do, and you'll stop getting autokilled

But that is the messed up part!Shocked I followed the directions in your mIRC tutorial beforehand and have attempted this already, and no matter what I get the same message/results. Thanks for replying so quickly though, I appreciate it.

I suggest you try different dalnet servers then, because some have different options than others
also there's a box that you might have clicked thats something like "don't allow viwing my ident once logged on" or something like that, click that off

Are you behind a firewall or router?

Quite possibly, but it seems odd that it happened all of a sudden when just a few days earlier I was able to connect to DAL.net. Maybe I will just have to wait untill dal.net is fixed. All I can really say with my knowledge of computers is that I have Bellsouth ADSL. Thanks again.

My word, almost all the servers are down right now. tricky, twisted, and tiscali are lagged beyond the pale. Jade is simply full. powertech is lagged as well. I haven't found any other working servers yet. Let's keep each other posted

It's apocalypse, I swear. God has finally noticed where all the evil on earth lies. Atone your sins, my children.

Ian: mayhap its time to hop onto a different server, seeing how dal is now dead. you've got ~100,000 people trying to get onto hte same 4 or 5 servers, and the attacks don't look like they're going to end anytime soon... Aniverse would be cool, wondernet with omanga and the hawks would work too, etg is a little too unstable IMO.

You are suggesting we join in the banwagon problem ...... that is not a wise move ... if too many people jump at once off a sinking ship and onto another, the second ship will begin to sink too....

Also, what makes you think the other network will be better once DalNet is gone or becomes too small to be a good target?
