Yeah... And I wonder if those 'people who saved the world' was Kenji and Co., since Kanna doesn't know about anyone who is alive, who could walk to this stage in UN? It's too curious for me Oo; |

I think its gonna be the last survivors from attacking the robot... Kenji probably died or something.. thats why there's only 4 people left on the stage.. |

But from back they don't look like anyone from Kenji's pack. And as Izumi, I think it could be Friend and co. since there was his mark near this monument... |

I loved the introduction of Shouhei the detective in chapters 52 and 53. The chapter where Chou-san gets killed before giving Shouhei his gift is still among one of the most dramatic scenes in the entire manga. The intorduction of Shouhei ties the whole story together in a style like Brian Azzarello (who writes 100 Bullets) and his dynamic with Kanna is pretty cool as well. However, once I got to the end of chapter 53 and a wave of foreboding washed over me. The Friendship party symbol adorned the walkway of the memorial, so I assume that Friend won the battle between them and the "Kenji faction".
Once more, I eagerly await the next release...
Please let Otcho, Maruo, Yoshitsune, Fukubei or Mon-chan be alive like Yujiki was! |

urasawa has a good little rhythm going in the beginning of the 2014 story where he slowly restarts the plot with new people and their normal surroundings, and then on the last page of each chapter, showing a little tiny hint of what's happening in the big picture.
and i have to agree with you about chou-san's death, that's still one of my most favorite scenes in the story, not that i enjoyed seeing him die, but it was just such a shocking and unforeseen tragedy that it really knocked me for a loop... |

Well from what i've seen, he really deserves the honor of great detective... i meen, he's the only one who's figured it all out... that should really say what kind of person you need to be to see the big picture through all the details in this story. But even chou-san couldn't see his partner betraying him. |

the few latest chapters released are depressing
we know that lots of ppl were killed, including kenji and some friends
and kanna now hates the police
a question im still wondering is... why is there a Friend's symbol on top of the monument o.o
btw, im also spoiled... couldnt resist reading the preview when i saw that nice looking cover X.X
but good thing i only read 1 vol...
i think it was vol 7 or 8 |

What about the character who went to the same ramen shop as Kanna and left the bowl at the memorial... I hope it's Kenji cause so far (other than Shogun) he's one of my favourite characters in 20th Century Boys... |
