Why do people like dogs so much?

All they ever do is run around, bark, claw at closed doors, chase smaller animals, take dumps, throw up, eat their throw up, eat goose poop, smell your crotch, drool everywhere, roll around in their own waste, drink from toilets, attack you randomly, look around with blank stupid expressions on their face, eat 5 times a day, chew your things, destroy childhood treasures, and bother you while you work. I had a dog in my house for about a year, and that was all he did. He bothered my cats to the point where they wouldn't come downstairs to eat. Cats bathe, they don't smell, and as long as you let them out during the day, you don't have to clean up after them. They even cover it up! Cat's have been proven smarter than dogs, and there is no reason to have a big dumb nasty smelly creature lying around your house (except if they are family). And cats really dont get "hairballs" all the time. When they do get them, it is because they are sick. They only do this for about once a year. And lastly, cats are cheaper and easier to own.

erm.....i don't like dogs or cats because they are dirty........but if you take away the fact they are dirty....they can be used as a medium to vent frustration...my aunt scolds the dog when she is pissed with my uncle who scolds the dog to rebut

that's exactly the point! what kind of a braindead moron can't enjoy these gifts a dog brings into his life?

What yous peoples a'smokin? It's all about OUTSIDE dogs. they're like a computer, kick'em and they shut up. You only hafta be around them when you wanna, and at least those friggin cats aren't coverin' poop round here so I can step on it while tending the flora and fawna. All you gotta do is train the dog to do is teach your dog to use his pooper powers in the NEIGHBOR's yard, what they don't know can't hurt 'em, right?

I'm allergic to dem dere kitties and they tend to bite me all too often. 'specially my friend's kitties. One (colorfully named "Kitty") never comes near you and if you get within 10 ft. of her, she'll give you the eye, another named "Leo" will jump on you, and then claw you to death, and the last named "Chris" (he's the youngest) sheds and coughs up hairballs all day long. They're evil I tell ya, EEEEVVVVIIIILLL!!!!!
