Sometimes I might post stuff here letting you all know about the progress of H2 and various infos.
Sometimes this info will jump out of the closet and attack you bickity BAM!
Set all complaints at Flyingrobots' feet.
Anyways. We launched it and stuff. The plan is to release v02c01-c04 next Saturday and v02c05-c07 the saturday after that and then v02c08-c10 the Saturday after that.
Then we enter v03 territory. At that point releases will be slowed to 2 chaps a week every Saturday.
We have a crapton of edited chapters stockpiled. An army of zombie-like editors. One flesh-eating scanner and one translator that is surely cousin to the famous invincible japanese lizard Gojira. We will win this H2 war regardless of what the space ninjas have to say about it.
Also the scanner has generously decided to donate his H2 raws to some french group, i think Iscariote? I have no idea really because he is amazingly benevolent and jesus-like. Also I believe he is getting a shipment of Can-can girls dressed in skimpy outfits.
That is all. Donations are accepted. |

I remember reading H2 from my high school days. You have to admit, it does seem kind of like Touch part 2, but I liked it nevertheless. |

Oh yeah for sure.. its happy Touch. Touch is much sadder, or at least i thought so. Happy Adachi mangas allow his humor to show more.. which is good. I like his taciturn wit. |

I dig H2 more than Touch... I didn't like it as much when i'd only read the LQ AU scans, but when i read our version, i was laughing my rear end off! In fact, i was reading so intently that i missed my class -_-
Unlike Summer Soldier's school though, missing classes is very detrimental to my grade and chances at graduating >_< |

hey, wait a minute... i don't see any space ninjas!
i tend to agree with summer soldier, now that i've read a portion of both touch and h2, it's impossible to deny that he's treading the same path. but stereotypical adachi is still better than 10 of the average stereotypical shonen authors! |

i have on good authority that robots has also read Nine so
he can attest to Adachi's preoccupation with
baseball and like people who play baseball |

Maybe you should transfer It wasn't just our school though. A lot of Japanese colleges are like that, although there are plenty of others that impose a much tougher curriculum.
stephen - Getting back to topic, I was reading through your translations of H2 and stumbled on to the part where you said that there was a joke that you couldn't get, one that involved zabutons. Just out of curiosity, what was it precisely? I'm guessing that it was some sort of reference to the TV program "Shouten". |

i've actually seen it used multiple times now. they usually tell a joke and follow it up by saying something like "umai! zabuton ichimai!" |

Okay! So I am a filthy liar.. instead of releasing a mere 4 chapters
i released 5 this week.. and i'll release 5 next saturday, yes including
the mysterious fabled 10th chapter of volume 02. Yes that's right
V02c10!!! It does exist!!
My hardworking superhuman zombie editors worked overdrive this week
and actually finished editing 7 chapters.... rather then four so
to celebrate their good work, hence the increased release size.
So expect another 5 chapters next saturday.. hopefully we can get em
to you earlier in the day but no promises.. Just be happy its still saturday!
West coast time. |

stephen - Yeah, that sounds very much like a reference to Shouten. Basically, the idea of Shouten is that the comedians are given a topic, and are required to make a joke about it on the spot. If it's funny, they're rewarded with a zabuton. If it's lame, they have it taken away from them. You can find out about it here.

Shouten has been going on for as long as I can remember. The jokes are often pretty lame, but there's still something really endearing about that show for a Japanese person. Like you said, the reference to zabutons are used quite often in manga. That's because it's a reference point that anyone in Japan can appreciate.

Another nice way to have your zabuton taken away from you is to make fun of the host, or better yet, the zabuton-carrier. He's like this young apprentice comedian, but all he ever does (at least on TV) is carry the zabutons, which obviously makes him an easy target of jokes. But insult him too much, and he'll literally shove you off your hard-earned zabutons and take them all away.
How in the world did this turn into a discussion of Shouten? |

Personally I blame society.
Anyways, back to the H2.
2 Chapters released on time.. slightly delayed 3 chapter release following that to complete v02 for you, our dear fans.
Yes we here at mangascreener will dare anything, spit at everything and not even leave a 10 percent tip. Did I do it? Did I do the unthinkable? Yes. I release the mysterious ultra ecchi chapter 10 of H2 volume 2.
The horror.
Anyways.. due to our superb stockpiling and Flyingrobots excellent and speedy translating. i have made the conscious decision to release 5 chaps of v03 next week. 4 chaps are edited already, etc etc.. My original plan was to start the 2 chapter a week release cycle now ie. v03.. but I'll probably implement that for v04. This is largely due to Rio's kamikaze editing of a whopping 5 chapters of v03 in like 3 days or something ridiculous while editing stuff from various other projects like zushio. He will shortly be taking a 2 month+ hiatus and decided to gift us with this! Yay Rio etc. |

Rest of V03 released
since we are mostly caught up to the stockpile of scripts we have
the consensus on release schedule is half a vol every 2 weeks
so expect half of v04 2 weeks from today... |
