could someone helpidentify this manga. the problem is, this malay edition of mine doesnt mention year published, original title, copyright info etc.
anyway the title basically translates to "travelling companions"
(its a single volume story)
it involves this guy named tsugiro tumpin who is a drifter. he comesacross two kids (Sakura and Tanaga) and brings them to their mother in tokyo. He also meets a girl called yoki.
(im not sure if these names are faithful to the japanese original)
according to the credits it was drawn by Matsuyama Zenzo but i cant seem fo find any other manga by this guy or look his name up in internet so its rather suspect.
but i love this manga to bits.the artwork is beautiful andbeing a 'drifter' story the artist takes us on a tour of japan starting from northen kyushu all the way to matsushima island. they hike , ride the train, hitch rides.
for food they sometimes beg or rummage through back alleys.
this is one of my fav manga of all time anyone could help identify? maybe the year published andauthor, original title. this manga is really good so i wouldnt be suprised if it were fairly famous. |

Some manga artist just make one manga and then never make another, or go into hiding until they finish making another .... |

If you could scan a few pages it'd be great
dev, thats not really true, most manga artists, even unpopular ones will have 3 or 4 series on their resume, trust me there are tons of low class manga weeklies/monthlies that would love to grab someone falling from the big magazines!
Its just hard for us to get ahold of them in the USA, because most american stores or online stores only carry items by the big companies. |

Are you sure it's not a fan manga? Are you sure it's not just original doujinshi work some guy drew up in his spare time and then got some printer to make copies and then sold them? They might have really liked it and so translated it and distributed it.. other places...
Or maybe I'm just being stupid again. Whatever...
So yea, could you possibly scan us a few pages |

ok, ive scanned a few pages..
and they look suprisingly good!! i was worried they'd look like crap coz the paper is a really cheap brown paper.
but it looks fairly good if i do say so myself.
but...!(there always is a but)
i cant seem to upload it to yahoo briefcase or either that its taking forever with my slow connection.
any suggestions.
maybe ill mail it to someone who would then kindly upload it somewhere that would be cool.
ps. ive never put images up on internet before ,in case you were wondering but i guess you can tell eh |

i knew it!!!....ok i've read this manga before...and it's not by mr Matsuyama Zenzo(a famous director, i think), who wrote the story, the author of this book is a manga legend named Nagayasu Takumi, he's known for novel-manga adaptions...and he's got some other very good works that you should check out....one in particular: The Legend Of Mother Sarah, which is published by Black Horse
but...there's no official english translation for this book so, i can't tell you the name either... |
