After the double chapter 'The Frog empire Strikes Back' we have another 'filler' chapter with 143. Not much new information here but a nice, sweet chapter with a warm yet sad and melancolic atmosphere. It was really misty here when i read it and i got really into this chapter 
A bit odd that it's in small far away villages that the virus strikes first and not in the big cities... i thought viruses spread faster in crowded areas. But the information that a gas mask doesn't help when you have a beard is correct so yeah...
[PS: The old man in this chapter reminded me of the blind rich dude in Monster... dunno if it's just me lol]
Anyway from the chapter titles we have on page 6 of this volume, it seems that especially the last chapter (145) of volume 13 will give us some interesting information. Will Urasawa treat us on another sweet cliffhanger? Hehe, me thinks so.  |

Well, how is this virus spreading? Where does it come from?

Of course.
Luckily, the ending of volume 14, which is where Stephen will have to stop for a while, is not really a cliffhanger (other than the usual "the manga isn't finished yet" cliffhanger).

Forget all of that. What I want to know is how the hell did the geeky azz "Friend" manage to bang Kenji's beautiful sister? Also, I don't think Friend is really Kanna's father. So far, ever character's kid looks very similar to their parent and Kanna doesn't look anything like Friend. Friend has dark hair, Kanna has light hair. I know Kanna takes after her mother but she should also take some from her father. So who do you think the father is? |

Problem is, Kiriko has dark hair too. Maybe Kanna dyed her hair from a very, very young age? |
