Or, how DID college change you. Basically ;
'College' : discuss.
I just thought of this while reading that Endo oneshot; 'God'. All the characters seemed so alive, a group of energitic, enthusiastic, students making plays and discussing philosophy and whatnot, the overall campus environment is just too cool.
Well let's just say my college was hardly like that, it was just study study away to get that degree.
But anyways, i'd like to hear everyone's thoughts about college and the time you spent there. And since in MS people come from all over the globe , like Japan, etc, i wanna know what your college was like. |

It makes you bitter, angry and cynical. The only difference between it and highschool is that (a) you have to pay for it, (b) it provides you with more time/reason to be bitter, angry and cynical and (c) in the one redeeming value it has, unlike in highschool you can usually get by ignoring/avoiding those who you do not wish to deal with. |

I didn't really go to a 4 year college, but I went to community and a technical college [btw if you ever think about going ecpi, don't. That's the biggest waste of 20 grand I will probably ever make.] Anyway, going through those colleges, I became very apathetic about any classes that didn't particularly interest me, with the whole "I'm paying for it, why should I have to put up with this shite?" type of attitude.
So I'd say I agree with nanashi on most points, that you get more bitter\angry\cynical, but throw in a bit of apathy towards a lot of the stupid crap that people seem to obsess over. oh and the realization that everyhing is complete bs.
well at least that's how it was for me... |
