...is to be released on April 30th in Japan.
Still no signs of "Pluto" 1, but I noticed that Hideo Yamamoto's "Homunculus" 2 has been (re-)scheduled for April 30th as well. Hot damn, and I was beginning to believe those rumours about Yamamoto being kicked out because of the cannabis found by him. |

Thanks for the tip, Koto. I had been guessing April or May, and April 30th is pretty much both.
I wouldn't expect Pluto for another month after that, or most likely more, since the 6 published chapters are only 160 pages. I'd guess the first volume will encompass 8 chapters, like Monster. There is that one-month gap right now, and we don't know if they'll push the book out immediately after there's enough material. I am quite interested to see what the cover design will be, however :) |

It's becoming somewhat of a common practice these days to hold out tankoubon releases until there are TWO volumes worth of material available, and to release the two volumes simultaneously. Much to my annoyance (although i guess I can see how this strategy might facilitate sales). So there's a chance they'll do that with Pluto too, although I hope they don't. |

i know they did this "double release" for Rose Hip Rose (twice a month), Tokkô (monthly) and Zetman (weekly but i don't think it's really regular, is it?)
for Tokkô they even released four books on one day, two normal tanks, and two deluxe |

The Tokko monthly chapters are extremely long though (over 100 pages in one case), so that's probably why they did it there.

They did that with Freesia too though, which began as a bi-monthly series (it became a monthly later on). And the lenght of each chapter was that of your average, standard monthly series. Ditto with another Jiro Matsumoto work, Mikai no Hoshi, which was a bi-monthly series from beginning to end. |

Just read 20th CB 16...
...why does the 2nd to last page give a release date of June 1?
Anyway, it was a decent volume. Nothing very surprising, but decent. At least the series is getting funnier, but somehow, I expected 'the world falling into ruin' would encompass more than an outbreak of the virus(again), Kenji's group fracturing (again), and Friend becoming yet even more powerful(again). One more thing... Did the virus wipe out all the 'non-friend licensed' electricians in the world?
Who wants to bet that 'God' turns out to be Friend's father? Check the ESP scene on page 118. |

That's strange -- it must just be a misprint.

Ok I'm slightly retarded and sometimes have trouble figuring out whats going on in this manga, but I do really enjoy it.
Ok, firstly, is this new friend with the head bandages on still fukubei? and why is he wearing these bandages?
Secondly, how come kenji didnt recognize fukubeis voice? He talked to friend a few times?
When friend says 'I am collins' does he mean no one remembers him?
Why did friend start wearing masks? I know he wore one over the summer of 1970 to hide, but why later on?
Why did kiriko see sadkiyo's adult face under friends mask in the virtual attraction?
What is the point of this attraction anyway? supposed to make people love friend more but does it?
I probably have more, thanks though |
