As the initiator of this one-shot project, I guess I should start this thread. To be honest, I've been kind of cynical with one-shots lately ever since the disappointing feedbacks (or lack thereof) to "Twisted", so you're all very welcome to disappoint me even further by posting your lukewarm opinons here. |

It was good! A nice joke packed into a short space -- reminded me of Simpsons-style humor. |

it reminds me kinda of the Korean movie Il Mare about a mail box which connects the past and future. but in this case it's only 2 years or something. of course, being a korean movie, it's a melodrama vs a comedy, but it still reminded me of it.
pretty good read though. |

I thought it was great! The last few pages were especially hilarious.
I'd be happy to do anymore of Kasabe's one-shots. |

I thought it was hilarious. The "if you mess with time" paradox lol. I just love how complacent the scientist is. He's just "oh well I screwed up the whole world".
Haven't read Twisted yet...

Yeah, it reminded me of this sappy story I once read about a guy who buys an antique desk, finds an old letter in it, and starts writing letters to the original owner of the desk (a girl from the past) by locking his letters in the drawers. The girl reads them in the past, puts her response in the other desk drawers, and he finds her letters in there in the future. But when he opens all the drawers, the time travel thing is broken and the romance must end, forever separated by space and time. Time travel penpal romance yeah! (Sounds like a sappy/crappy shoujo one-shot possibility...)
Anyway, being melodramatic I thought it was kinda cool back then. Now, I think its funny, so this one-shot was a nice read.
I'd love to read more of Kasabe's one-shots. |
