So what i heard is that it'll be a 13 episode by year show, Martin will fully write the last one of each season and the first one of the first season.
I can't wait to see the actor list \o/ |

Oh, on the iTunes store you can find an interview of George R. R. Martin and he mentions the series in the end. |

Its gonna be HBO show. We all have trust in HBO shows, they never failed on us. If it will be only half good as Rome it will be worth watching, and i believe it can be even better then Rome. |

that's the somewhat huge link to the Martin intv on iTunes. He talks about his career, his take on the separation of 'genres' today (Fantasy/Sci Fi/Horror) and how he hates it. Also nice to actually hear his voice

And yes, it's true that HBO has done great stuff in the past but with a series as ambitious as this, and the fact that it's now in 'development hell' means that anything can end up happening. I've got my fingers crossed, and there have been some good fantasy lately that's gritty and dark, but I'm not altogether expecting something great. Then if it sucks (which i hope it won't) I'll have expected that and won't be crushed (Star wars Ep's 1-3 comes to mind) and if they're great I'll be pleasantly surprised. |
