Well hi everyone,
my name is Daryl.
Some of you might know me from MangaHelpers.Com, DeimonHigh.Com, Mushishi.Net or as an author/uploader at MangaUnderground.
I'm also the current typesetter/proofreader for MU's XS.
I was wondering if there is need of a typesetter or proofreader (I can be an editor too, but I'm still learning)?
Since I'm a big fan of most of your projects I'd be willing to work on every project. I have enough time to spare.

If this was not the right place to post an application, then I deeply apologize in advance.

Thing is, here at Mangascreener, unlike groups you can find at Mangahelpers, editing and typesetting is all wrapped in one package. And proofreaders are basically non-existent because our translators really know their English.

Yeah proofing more or less doesn't exist here, unless someone happens to spot a typo or something. Both of the current staff translators are professionals. QC is usually done by whoever "owns" the project, but all of the problems they find are fixed by the editor.

Editing here == raw scans all the way to ready for qc, and any subsequent fixes discovered by whoever checks it over.

So, projects here tend to be either translator/everything else or translator/scanner/editor

You can hop on irc and bug me there if you have other questions.

Oh that's good to know! Thank you. Well that would make my life even easier. I'm fluent in English and German. Smile So if there is a need for a typesetter/editor I'd be glad to help.

Do you have any examples of your editing work?

Hm, maybe I can show you something...

These are two pages of the newest Eye21 scanlation I did. The moderators at Mangahelpers.com rated it as a MQ since I didn't do anything to the boarders, but also said it was a HMQ.

RAW Page 1 ---> Edited Page 1
RAW Page 2 ---> Edited Page 2

Here are some pages of Eden v13 (the RAWs have an amazing quality!):
