French post from Ritual
Young Sunday's last issue will be the one of July 31st.
It's shame, since there were a lot of series in Young Sunday that I've enjoyed over the years. I wonder what's going to happen to the ongoing series currently in the magazine, especially Oyasumi Punpun... :/ |

Well, with Punpun already being Asano's longest serialization (3+ volumes), I can't imagine it would've ran much longer.
And if it was intended to be, I'm sure he'll get moved to another mag.
Aside from Asano's series, Young Sunday hasn't produced anything too riveting since their mid-90's ultra-violent period, that I know of. (Bakune Young, Koroshiya 1, TWIM)
Their best mangaka always move on to a "proper" seinen magazine, anyway. I mean, a mag that has something like Beach Stars? Gitouttaherez. |

I was discussing this with someone else yesterday and I think if he doesn't wrap it up before then, he might end up in someplace like Ikki. The contemporary artiness plus iconic cutesy design is a dead ringer for Ikki, and he won't have to switch publishers. If not there, maybe Comic Beam. Who knows, though. I haven't read any material of it after Volume 2, so I don't know where in the story he is. |

I'm mostly disappointed for Punpun & Kurosagi. Kurosagi is really good, even though the scanlations aren't very far. |

Well, you just posted Oyasumi Punpun :p
I'm just mostly happy the series I follow (or plan to) were moved. |
