I have some of the shonen jumps and this manga looks cool...it would be nice to have a baseball manga translated. Cool

nope. i like baseball a lot, it's my favorite sport and i read plenty of baseball manga, but i just don't like mr. fullswing. it's too gag-oriented. it's more bobobo-bo bo-bobo than actual baseball. i like rookies much much better. rookies is great.

very true. they are quite different series and i believe that's the only reason why jump would bother having two baseball series at once. because rookies has realistic, detailed art and relatively "normal" characters, while the art in mr. fullswing is more caricatured and the character design is much wilder and bizarre.

if MS were to do a sports manga, how bout kendo?

What I would want in a sports manga is more popish art. Too much realistic anime gets annoying. That's just my opinion.

Well, I wouldn't exactly call Ron a kendo manga. Kendo is used as an important theme, but it's more of a historical epic than a sport comic. If that qualifies as a kendo manga, then Gekko No Sasayaki (Masahiko Kikuni), which is really more about sexual fetishes than anything else, would qualify as well!

You should be. It's one of the best manga series of the 90s. If the Shogakukan Manga Award wasn't so uptight about their standards concerning depictions of sex, Gekko No Sasayaki would've been a winner.

... This is really off topic... anyways we're already engaged in quite a lot of Baseball manga projects, all of them hands down better than Mr. Fullswing.
