i've read about 14, but i might have seen more because the person who wrote that obviously translated all the names into english, when a lot of them are commonly referred to by their japanese titles in english circles (i.e. ashita no joe = tomorrow's joe)

And what the hell is Banana Fish?! I've never heard 'bout it before... Oo;

ARGH I only read slam dunk from that list damn.......who decided that list anyway. Why isn't there vagabond, why isn't there hunter, why isn't there naruto, why isn't there Shamanking........these 3 are all better than doraemon.......and what happen to the popular pokemon and digimon, they have mangas too

i'd have to disagree, neither naruto, hunterxhunter or shaman king is better than doraemon. doraemon is something that people of all ages can enjoy, something that even if you havn't seen it for years you can remember fondly. where as the 3 you listed are all made for a certain demographic, they may be good in your opinion while you're in that demographic, but most assuredly once you get older than you are now you'll find them trite and unfullfilling...

well, i never liked doraemon in my entire life, even as a child, i had something against that fat blue thing with a pocket ...... but i agree with you, i think doraemon probably last longer in peoples minds than hxh or any others but i like the stories of these better

I used to like those shonen manga best, but just like clothing you grow out of them and you look back and you're like. OMG did i used to wear that crud.
Doraemon is like something that just never goes out of style, and even if you grow out of it, you'll just give it to your children or continue wearing it when people aren't around =p

nope, my child will not read doraemon, i will make sure he doesn't, and no pokemon and no digimon.......only books, tons of books and math equations wahahahahaha......and since shonen mangas are too graphic, he will not be allowed to read manga wahahaha.....
