Octopus doesn't look half as dorky as he should. Hell, he looks cool! And what's with the boom for Marvel movies? Spider Man, Daredevil, Hulk, what ealse... [If you have a Spider Man movie, check out the scene when Peter is practicing web shooting in his room. He smashes the lamp, and when his aunt knocks on the door and he opens the door for her the lamp is still there as if it never broke. Cool eh?] |

well, i have to say, as a geeky film adict teenager, daredevil was actually better than spider man, by far!! i felt there was something lacking in spiderman, maybe the absence of a really strong storyline, and the patheticness of mary j? daredevil was, though i hate benny from the block, actually really good.
but x-men has to beat them all, expecially number two, and wasnt the ending wicked? i loved it!!! and sorry, but pyro is well sexy!!! lol
the loeg is not out here yet, dont know if its out anywhere, but i wait with baited breath. i never actually read any of the comics, but it looks amazing. however, my brother tells me they have left out and made up key characters, just as they did with x-men, but really you have to start new audiences off slowly. too many characters is too overwhelming for the ignoramus - me!
p.s colossas was so drool enducing in his ten second appearance in x-men!!!!! argh............. |

Punisher with Dolph beats em all... plain and simple, if you haven't seen it, go rent it! He kills EVERYONE!
Jake: "What the f*ck do you call 125 murders in five years?!"
Frank: "Work in progress." |

Izumi, that movie was so awful! My God, and what was with that last shootout in the Japanese tea-room office building? I remember watching that when I was eight, and even then I knew Dolph Lundren couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. What's even scarier is that they're doing a new punisher, with Thomas Jane (The Sweetest Thing, Deep Blue Sea) as Frank Castle and... God, it hurts to type this... John 'Saturday Night Live' Travolta as the bad guy. This movie has piece of crap written all over it.
The comic book movie I'm most looking forward to is Hellboy... And they better not mess it up, other wise Guillermo del Toro is gonna have to have a little chat with me and the "Quality Assurance" bat. Despite the fact that the director in question, mr. del Toro, has yet to make a good movie (and Blade 2 doesn't count because it sucked ass), this movie has three things going for it:
1. It's co-written by Hellboy's creator Mike Mignolia (although personally, I'd love to see Chris Cox, writer of the two Hellboy books, to take a swing at it, but Mignolia good for it).
2. Hellboy is played by veteran character actor Ron Perlman, someone whom I have great faith in as an actor.
3. Hellboy gets to stamp on everybody's favorite villan: Nazis. Woohaw! Get ready to stomp on some goose-stepper, and nothin' better than making with the sour-kraut smackdown.
If done well, I will be one happy camper come 2004.
P.S. Izumi: What the hell was with the Punisher's "calling card," it looked like a letter opener! |

I just liked it because you didn't have to think, the plot is straight forward revenge (i'm all about the spanish revenge thing). I don't think Dolph even needed to act, he just needed to look cool, thats all the punisher is about. |
