Worst manga

1. What is the worst manga you've read?

2. What is the worst manga which, even though you disliked it or hated it, you read all of it (or still read it regularly) anyway?

My answer to that would be Kinnikuman. I love that manga.

well, in the local manga weekly, they tried introducing a new local 'talent' and he did a sort of dragonball ripoff series.
now, there are some really talented comic artists here in malaysia, but this guy was utterly lazy and useless. i have no idea what they were thinking. it looked like dragonball fanart done by a 10 year old. really.
they killed it after a while.

Well i only judge manga i read a few books of anyway, so question 1 and 2 will be answered together.

Agharta - the mangaka makes it complex cos his scenario sucks. his art isn't very good either

Miyukichan in Wonderland - the girls of clamp must have had problems with their hormones when they wrote this. no plot whatsoever, full of clichés, boring!

but worse of all must be lythtis by Hiroyuki Utatane! no words can describe this piece of shit! Very Happy

anyway, most of the time im well informed when i buy manga and that way i don't have these unpleasant surprises too often, but sometimes shit happens i guess Wink

EDIT: now that i think of it, i'd have to say number three is rave, i just picked up a volume at b&n and it's really crappy, but funny. odd.

Off the top of my head... HEN or Guru Guru Pon-chan. If you don't know what they are: HEN - beautiful big busted teenage girl is so hot that men lust after her like crazy. She sleeps around with men, but never falls in love until she falls in love with a girl. Guru Guru Pon-chan. It's basically beastiality in my opinion. :-/ A dog eats something that lets her turn into a human female and she falls in love with someone.

Flame of Recca. So dumb, so predictable. But I read all friggin' 20-30 volumes of it because it's there and I get bored at work.

1. Brain Powered... I know many ppl who disagree but I hate it, couldnt even make myself finish the first voulume

2. Yugioh also... I hate it so much but for some reason I read it in US's Shonen Jump every month...

1) Mmm I really hated Utena manga... I never got a thing that went on in it!

2) This ribon series with the most crudish drawings, cliche plots and no backgrounds (T__T) Yappa Ai Desho... I still have no idea why I read it...

1. Ichi the Killer
Nasty, nasty, nasty stuff. Proof that downloading random manga off of IRC is not always a good idea.

2. Anything in US Shounen Jump
All of the series in this magazine are far outside of my tastes. The only reason I read it is because the initial subscription price was really low.

3. Angel Densetsu
Violent, crudely drawn fluff that reuses the same gags over and over... and I love it. Though I seriously doubt that I'd still read it if Kitano was a real fighter.

I am honestly surprised that a “worst” list would include “Koroshiya Ichi”. It’s one of my favorite series from Young Sunday, along with Gekkou No Sasayaki and Inu. I found it to be just as intriguing and compelling as it is “nasty”, and while the manga made me wince more times than I’d care to admit, Hideo Yamamoto did such a great job of portraying Ichi's madness that I couldn’t help but come back for more. But as they say, to each his/her own.

1. Exxxaxion or whatever was it called. I bought first volume of it and i was so dissapointed of Sonoda...

3. Also hard one, but probably Dragon Ball. I owe all 42 vols and it rocks :]

1) I really hate Inu Yasha, even though I've read worse.
2) Dragonball, and Fushigi Yushi
