There are implications to the word Otaku i would wouldn't wish on someone i hated. Why in America people wear the word as a badge of honor is beyond my understanding. It shows a complete lack of understanding of Japanese culture... just because you can say a Japanese word doesn't meen you should use it. I know plenty of Chinese and Korean, but i don't go around calling myself profain things in those languages because i think its cool!?

im not saying people should wear this title with honor but it would just make more reason because thats what it means.

I don't find calling myself an otaku an "honor" but I can't really deny the facts... I'm an otaku.. I'm pathetic...
