Inside Flap: The Rules of Battle in "Bokurano"
No. 1: There are strict rules to fighting in Zearth. If you lose in battle, or the amount of time elapsed before the battle is won surpasses 48 hours, the Earth will be destroyed and all life, including humanity, will be extinguished.
No. 2: The enemy is an earthling from a parallel world. The battle is won by killing the enemy earthling pilot. On the other hand, if one's own pilot dies, the battle is lost.
No. 3: The pilot will be one of the people who have already signed the contract. The pilot controls Zearth by him or herself, and no change in control is allowed.
No. 4: If the pilot should die of sickness or by a fellow earthling, another of the eligible candidates is chosen to be pilot on the spot.
No. 5: When the pilot dies after a battle, the body is sent to his or her family. However, if the pilot wishes, the body can be made to disappear, or stored within one of the many crevices within Zearth.
