Story. Meitantei Conan (Detective Conan) is one of the most popular manga/animes around the world, although it has yet to hit the English-speaking world. It is the story of Kudou Shinichi, famous high school detective, who is forced by members of a shady syndicate to drink a poison that shrinks him down to kid-size. To hide his identity, he takes on the name Edogawa Conan and moves into his long-time friend, Mouri Ran's house. Nobody except the gadget-creating inventor, Professor Agasa, knows Conan's secret. While there are a number of constant story characters that are introduced and reappear from time to time, for the most part this is a case-based story, with little relation to one another. It has spawned "special edition" books drawn by the author's assistants, an anime series and several movies. It's also the longest series I've worked on (as well as the first). Meitantei Conan began serialization in Shonen Sunday in 1994, and has been collected in 39 volumes to date. I would say the language is PG-13. Regarding scan-translations: There are no large groups doing Conan as far as I know, although several one-man operations have done various pieces. Anyone who wants to use these scripts in their own projects is free to do so, just email me so I can check them out myself!
