The Story Until Now: Koh Kitamura, first-year student at Seishu Academy High School, is the only son of the Kitamura Sporting Goods Store. He's longtime friends with the Tsukishima sisters, but their second daughter, Wakaba, died five years ago.
Persuaded by his friend Akaishi, Koh joins the baseball team, but is sent to the lowly Prefab Team by the cruel Coach Daimon.
However, after two inter-squad games, the Prefab Team beats the regular squad, and Daimon and most of his players leave for other schools. The one exception is the talented slugger Yuhei Azuma, who stays with the team.
Then comes April. Koh and his friends are second-years, and Aoba is now starting high school, along with a certain "early bird."
