Grandpa: Unlike my son Shoichiro, Kohei was a born genius, with my talent for baseball.
	But his father wanted Kohei to be a politician or something,
	so he absolutely refused to let him play baseball.

Grandpa: He was finally allowed the chance to play with some neighborhood kids on a half-serious team,
	but the difference in talent was too great.
	When he threw seriously,
	the batters couldn't hit it and the catchers couldn't catch it.
	The fielders had nothing to do.
	And so a baseball team created for fun would lose all of its enjoyment...

Grandpa: His team and the other teams had limited players.
	If anyone quit, the game would be over.
	So he had to play baseball that everyone could enjoy.
	He would read where the batter's bat would go, and pitch to that spot.
	He made sure even the worst batter could hit it.
	Kohei was born with incredible control and perception.
	Do you know what that means?

Mrs. Amamiya: Huh?

Grandpa: It means that he became able to get any batter out, anytime.
	Just by moving the pitch one ball's width up, down, left or right.

Grandpa: He's still a genius pitcher, either way...
	But if he'd been put on a real, serious Little League team from the start,
	instead of a silly group that met to play around once a week,
	he would have grown into an entirely different type of pitcher.
