The story thus far: Kunimi Hiro and Noda Atsushi, after entering Senkawa High School, helped turn their informal baseball club into an official school team, and guided it to the Koshien. Their friend Tachibana Hideo has hit clean-up for Meiwa Daiichi High all three years of school. Their dream was to face each other directly in the Koshien. After a long time, that dream has finally come true in their last summer of school, in the semifinals of the summer Koshien. Hiro and Hideo, baseball rivals and rivals for the love of Amamiya Hikari -- the matchup advantage currently belongs to Hiro after striking out Hideo twice in a row!!
