Katsura ++++++++++ A youth traveled with I"s Hello, Katsura-sensei. I read I"s faithfully from the first chapter to the last. When I think back on it, my youth may have progressed along with it. I"s began in my senior year of high school. I've always loved your work since "Wingman" (I saw the anime when I was 3 or 4.) Everything you've done up until now had some element of fantasy, so seeing a realistic love comedy was a real surprise (Even though Video Girl Ai was love comedy, too) and it made me fall in love with the world of I"s. I felt sympathy for Ichitaka, and I felt angry when he was so indecisive. I also felt empathy for the characters, as I thought "if you like him, why can't you be more active...?" for Iori as well. I also saw how Ichitaka and I overlapped where I could not find what I wanted to do with myself. With a main character that's normal and ordinary in every respect, it's an amazing story. I can't count how many times I've wanted I"s to be an anime or a drama (Tsuyoshi Domoto as Ichitaka, Megumi Okina as Iori, Ryoko Hirosue as Itsuki... etc.) That wish never came true in the end, but I'm still so glad that I encountered your spectacular work, Sensei. Please keep up your hard effort!! PS. I would be SO happy if you included an original epilogue in the last volume like you did for DNA^2!! After reading the last chapter of I"s, I felt I just had to write you a letter to give you my thanks. The first one of your books I read was "Video Girl Ai." "VGA" was great, but I just loved the main character of I"s so much that I read it and re-read over and over again without getting tired of it. In the middle of I"s, me and a friend tried to predict how it would end. My guess was that the "Kyoko" character who appeared in chapters 18 and 19 of volume 3 would appear once again in the end and wreak havoc. I was spectacularly wrong. To get back on topic, I was incredibly moved after reading the last chapter. The strength of Iori-chan's feelings moved me, but even more was Teratani-kun's actions. When I saw how he tried to make Iori-chan understand Ichitaka-kun's feelings, I realized that Teratani-kun is really Ichitaka-kun's very best friend.
