But I did say that there are no Americans in the story. Well, as I'm sure there are some people who do know why it's IS, there are also those who don't, so I'll explain. The three main characters' names all start with I. Because it's a story about these "I" people, it is called I"s. Then afterwards, you can attach ai (love), or ai (sorrow) to the meaning.
