Story. Kimi no Kakera (Pieces of You) is the current series of artist Shin Takahashi, the creator of Saishu-Heiki Kanojo, one of my favorite mangas. This one runs in Shonen Sunday, for adolescent boys, as compared to Big Comic Spirits, the young mens' magazine that Saikano was published in, so the story content might not be quite as adult, but I can assure you that Takahashi's style is still as powerful and unique as ever. This began in mid-2002, but was put on hiatus for over a year as Takahashi suffered some kind of injury or debilitation that prevented him from drawing manga up to his normal level of skill. Rather than put out a weak product, he decided to wait his condition out, and in December of 2003 the second volume of Kimi no Kakera was finally ready for publication, and the manga quickly resumed and concluded in Weekly Shonen Sunday. Considerable time and effort has been spent on refining and expanding the weekly chapters into the collected volumes. There are currently 6 volumes available.
Status: Waiting for word on the seventh volume.
