Germany Düsseldorf (All of the terror began when the Japanese brain surgeon Kenzo Tenma saved the life of a young boy...) Kenzo Tenma, a Japanese brain surgeon, working at the Eisler Memorial Hospital in Germany, saves the life of Johan, a young boy and one of a pair of twins. Because he chooses to perform that operation instead of working on the mayor of Düsseldorf, brought in at the same time, he bears the responsibility of the mayor's eventual death and finds himself in a political predicament. However, with the mysterious death of several of his superiors, he is promoted. 9 years later, the missing Johan reappears and declares the murders of the hospital director and others to be his own work. Tenma chases Johan, while being pursued for crimes he is innocent of. DIAGRAM --------- KENZO TENMA [doctor in medical garb] "I'll save you!!" JOHAN LIEBERT (brother) / ANNA LIEBERT (sister) [two children] Twin children(?) of Michael Liebert, the East German Trade Advisor who fled to West Germany. Lunge is also in Prague at the same time, on a long-term vacation. Both Tenma and Lunge work through separate clues from various people connected to the Monster's birth to find the existence of the same man, Franz Bonaparta. However, Tenma is captured by the Czech police and sent back to Germany! In prison, Tenma learns of a threat to Eva's life, and successfully escapes!! 1997 Czech Prague (What awaits Tenma when he travels to Frankfurt to save Eva from danger?!) 1997 Germany Frankfurt Nina finally finds the Red Rose Mansion in Prague. She begins to regain the memories buried deep within her subconscious. At this time, Martin takes Eva to Frankfurt, to accept a job from the "man wearing glasses." Her job is to unite Johan with people from the glasses-wearing man's organization. Once her job is complete, she prepares for her own death. Happened to see Tenma meet an accident, and takes care of him. MARTIN [aka Brad Pitt] Eva's bodyguard. Was once imprisoned for murder. EVA [harrowed woman] Tenma's former fiancee. Has a love-hate relationship with Tenma. TENMA [man holding gun] A former surgeon being chased by the police for crimes he didn't commit. Is on a journey to kill the monster he saved with his own hands. PETER CAPEK [grinning man w/glasses] The "glasses-wearing man" left from the Red Rose Mansion. Franz Bonaparta's follower. ? A talented German BKA inspector. On the hunt for Tenma, he begins to notice signs of Johan's existence. FRANZ BONAPARTA [storybook cover] A man with several names who holds the key to Johan's birth. Wrote "The Nameless Monster" under the penname Emil Scherbe. FRITZ VERDEMAN [scowling man w/bulbous nose] Tenma's lawyer. Specialist in exposing false charges. ROBERTO/BAUL [balding man] Johan's follower. A mysterious man who holds many faces. NINA FORTNER (aka ANNA LIEBERT) [sad young woman w/long straight hair] Johan's younger twin sister. Quits college and leaves on a journey to kill her brother. JOHAN LIEBERT [smiling, attractive young man] Twin child. A "monster" possessing an extraordinary intellect.
