Story. Natsunokumo (Summer Spider) is the current series of Rokuro Shinofusa, author of Afternoon's "Kudanshi." So far all of his works have dealt with cyberspace and futuristic online gaming to some degree, and Natsunokumo is no different. It's impossible to describe it without mentioning a similarity to Dot Hack, but after you get past the setting likeness, the two stories are worlds apart. Natsunokumo is a mature, believable series with fantastic heavy art, a tightly plotted story, and a very responsible outlook on the psychology of man as it interacts with the concept of role-playing over the net. Serialized in Ikki from 2003 to 2007, to a final total of 8 volumes.
Status: Cancelled due to lack of energy and interest.
