Plunging into the Grand Line, Luffy and company join with the princess Vivi to sail to the kingdom of Alabasta, in order to stop the secret
crime organization Baroque Works from completing their "Takeover of Alabasta". When they land in Alabasta and discover that Crocodile is the root of all their problems, they vow to defeat him.
Luffy's party heads to the capital, Alubarna, to stop the coming conflict between the army and rebels, spurred on by the Baroque Works. But Crocodile appears suddenly, and Luffy enters a fight to the death. Hard-pressed to overcome Crocodile's terrible powers, Luffy is maimed, and defeated.
About this time, having arrived in Alubarna, Vivi and the others are unable to stop the rebellion, and the two forces clash in combat. Yet Vivi still attempts to halt the fighting. Moved by her feelings, Zoro and the others enter a battle with the BW!! Usopp and Chopper face off against the Mr. 4 pair, Sanji takes on Mr. 2 Bon Clay, while Zoro and Nami combat the Mr. 1 pair!!
As Vivi uses her wits to convince her countrymen to destroy the palace in order to stop the rebellion, Crocodile appears once more. He wants "Pluton", the world's most terrible weapon, spelled out in the "Poneglyph". Is there any way to stop his ambitions...?
