Plunging into the Grand Line, Luffy and company save the princess Vivi, by stopping one of the "Seven Armed Seas", Crocodile, and his "Takeover of Alabasta" plan. Nico Robin then joins their merry crew and they begin another voyage.
The ship continues by following the needle, but it begins pointing into the "sky". When Robin tells them, "There is an island in the sky", they begin collecting info on how to get there. They get Sky Island information from a man named Monbran Cricket and prepare to continue. Moved by their enthusiasm, Cricket and his followers help them. As the preparations continue, the trip to Sky Island begins to appear more and more real.
At this time, the three great powers begin to react to the loss of one of the Seven Armed Seas. Also, Shanks and "Whitebeard" finally make their appearances!!
In order to go to the sky, Luffy and crew head for the place where the Knock Up Stream will happen. There, they meet Teach of the Blackbeard Pirates, who wants to use Luffy as his stepping stone into the Seven Armed Seas. Just when he challenges Luffy to a fight, the Knock Up Stream blows the ship up into the sky. Will they reach the long-awaited Sky Island?!
