The Story of One Piece, from volume 1 to volume 40: It is the Great Pirate Age. Countless pirates have raised their flags and gone to battle to find the legendary pirate king Gold Roger's hidden treasure, "One Piece." Luffy, who yearns to be one of those pirates, sets off on a voyage to become the Pirate King!!
Having successfully arrived at the Grand Line, Luffy and crew arrive at the "Water Metropolis" Water Seven, to find a shipwright for the crew. But the damage to the Going Merry is too great, and they must leave it behind for a new ship. And Usopp is unwilling to leave Merry, so he furiously quits the crew. On top of this, Robin abandons them as well, leaving the crew in shambles...
CP9 attacks the mayor for the plans to the Ancient Weapon "Pluton." But when they learn that Franky actually possesses the plans, they arrest him instead, and take Usopp with him. And with the one person alive who can resurrect the weapon, Robin, they board the Sea Express to Enies
Lobby, the Island of Law. Sanji independently sneaks onto the train to rescue them. On the other hand, with the Galley-la foremen and the Franky Family together on another Sea Express, Luffy's group heads after the train ahead!! On the leading train, Sanji succeeds in reuniting with Usopp and Franky, and finally plows through enough mighty foes to reach Robin. While he seems to succeed once, ultimately Robin and Franky are recaptured and taken onto the island. Sanji rejoins Luffy's party and they make their plan. Yet once again Luffy ignores everything and takes off into the island by himself!!
