voyage to become the Pirate King!!
Having successfully arrived at the Grand Line, Luffy and crew head for Fishman Island with their new ship, the Thousand Sunny! After beating the Seven Armed Sea Moria Gecko on the ghost island Thriller Bark and adding Brook the musician to the crew, their journey continues. When they meet Camie the mermaid along the way, the crew learns they must get a special coating for their ship if they hope to travel through Fishman Island, which lies on the sea floor beneath the Red Line. The ship sails for the Sabaody Islands, where Hachi can introduce them to his coating friend. This place is held beneath the thumb of the Celestial Dragons, the inhabitants of Mariejois, who regularly practice slave-trafficking of humans and fishmen. As a gathering place for pirates who have crossed Reverse Mountain, the islands currently boast eleven such rookies with bounties of at least a hundred million. The crew sets off to find the coater, but Camie is stolen right from under their noses, and sent to the human shop! Luffy rushes to the auction house, but he is too late--Camie has been sold to a Celestial Dragon, and Hachi is shot when his fishman identity is revealed. In his rage, Luffy breaks a promise and attacks the Celestial Dragon, bringing the imminent threat of a Marine admiral down on his head...
